London: British singer Rod Stewart has revealed that his diagnosis with thyroid cancer in 1990 inspired him to take better care of his health by exercising and eating well.
The 67-year-old popstar said that he now insists on regular visits to his physician for blood tests to ensure that he remains in good shape.
“I have blood tests all the time. I’m fascinated with the human body,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
“If a new machine comes out I want to have a go. I’d have an MRI scan every week if the doctor would let me,” he said.
“My priorities in life are my kids, my marriage, my health and of course my music. I want to be around, but you never know, do you? I could fall under a bus tomorrow,” he added.
