New Delhi: Ringing Bells' Freedom 251 took the world by storm it was launched and declared as the world's cheapest smartphone at just Rs 251. Much was said and written about the smartphone – both negative and positive.

And even before the first Freedom 251 could be delivered, a Bangalore-based company has launched the Namotel Acche Din smartphone pricing it at just Rs 99, thus making it the cheapest smartphone ever.

 

With a 4-inch display, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.3GHz quadcore processor along with 1 GB RAM, it is a smartphone that gives tough competition to Freedom 251 in every which way possible.

So, here is a comparison of the world's two cheapest smartphones.

DISPLAY: Both the smartphones feature a 4-inch display. However, while there is no exact specification for Acche Din, Freedom 251 claims a qHD IPS display for its screen.

 

OPERATING SYSTEM: Both the Acche Din and Freedom 251 smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

PROCESSOR: Again, both the smartphone are powered by the same 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

MEMORY: Freedom 251 wins in this section with 8GB internal memory to Achhe Din's 4GB of internal memory. However, both the smartphones support microSD card with expandable option up to 32GB each.

RAM: They are both supported by 1GB RAM.

CAMERA: With a 3.2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera, Freedom 251 has a minor upper hand to Namotel Acche Din's 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front-facing camera.

BATTERY: Not really a big difference here but Freedom 251's 1450 mAh battery is just a litte bigger than Acche Din's 1325 mAh battery.

CONNECTIVITY: Both the handsets support 3G, Bluetooth and other connectivity options.

PRICE: Freedom 251 was the world's cheapest smartphone at Rs 251 untill Namotel Acche Din came in at Rs 99.
