New Delhi: Launched in March 2016, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has been around for a while and has been hailed at the top budget smartphone of the year so far.
Giving it a tough competition is the recently lauched LeEco Le 2 that is said to have sold over 1 lakh units in just three flash sales.
Considering their features, specifications and pricing, both the smartphones are indeed tempting and do indeed give tough competition to each other and other smartphones in the sub-Rs 15,000 price range.
But, which of these two smartphones is the better one? A tough call again.
Anyway, we will give you a basic comparison of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (3GB 32GB variant) and LeEco Le 2 which should give buyers a better idea.
DISPLAY: Both the smartphones come with a 5.5-inch 1080x1920 pixels resolution IPS display that results to 403 pixels per index.
PROCESSOR: LeEco Le 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocking speeds at 1.8GHz while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU hexa-core processor that delivers up to 1.8GHz clock speed.
OPERATING SYSTEM: While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top, the Le 2 is powered by the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based eUI 5.8.
RAM: Both the smartphones come with 3GB RAM.
MEMORY/STORAGE: Again, both the smartphones come with a 32GB internal storage capacity. However, the Redmi Note 3 comes with a microSD card slot that supports upto 128GB which is not so with the LeEco Le 2.
CAMERA: Again, both come with a 16MP rear camera with with f/2.0 and PDAF. However, while Le 2 has a LED flash, the Note comes with a dual LED flash. As for the front-facing camera, Le 2 comes with an 8MP shooter while the Note comes with a 5MP shooter.
BATTERY: Both the smartphones come with a non-removable battery. But having said that Redmi Note 3 has a much bigger battery at 4050 mAh compared to Le Eco's 3000 mAh battery.
CONNECTIVITY: Again, both smartphones support the latest connectivity options such as dual SIM, 4G LTE, Fingerprint sensors, etc.
And while it indeed a close call between the two, the LeEco Le 2 comes with a USB Type-C audio port with CDLA standard which is new and uncommon in the market. This could be the small hindrance in the vast field of excellent features.
But having said that, these two smartphones, both priced at Rs 11,999 are the best in their class and a tough competitor for many.
