New Delhi: Gionee launched its S6 smartphone in China on Monday. The reasons why you should get excited about the phone with slim metal body and awesome features offered at at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500):
1) It measures 151.9x74.6x6.9 mm and weighs 147 grams, runs Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop
2) Dual-SIM (Micro+Nano)support. The second SIM slot also doubles as the MicroSD card slot.
3) A 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution Amoled display
4) A 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT67538 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU
5) A 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features modes such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus and more. Full-HD resolution video recording is also included.
6) The smartphone houses 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).
7) The metal-clad smartphone is backed by a 3150mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 18.8 hours of talk-time and 342 hours of standby time.
8) Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40), USB OTG and USB Type-C connectivity.
9) Available in Gold and Platinum colour variants.
The handset can be booked from the company website and will start shipping on November 22. Last week, the Chinese smartphone company launched two new variants of its smartphone, the F103 which were launched earlier in September.
The new variants are announced to be priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,999 while the earlier variant of the smartphone was launched at the price of Rs 9,999.
