Srinagar, June 04: Stating it would support any initiative aimed at resolving Kashmir issue, pro-independence Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front today announced they would launch an exercise next week to know the role Kashmiris, being the basic party, want to play in the ongoing peace moves between India and Pakistan. To solve the important issue of what role Kashmiris are looking for themselves in the present peace initiative, JKLF has decided to initiate an exercise to know the wishes and aspirations of the people of the state, a statement issued by the Front, a constituent of Hurriyat Conference, said.

The campaign would commence from Anantnag district of south Kashmir on June 11 and the future course of action would be announced at the end of the campaign, the statement issued after a high level meeting of the Front said.

JKLF chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik who presided over the meeting said his organisation would support any initiative aimed at resolving the Kashmir issue and restoration of everlasting peace in the state.

But he insisted that the solution to the issue should be as per the wishes and aspirations of the people of the state.

"People of the state were yearning for solution of Kashmir issue and a guarantee for peace. It is necessary that the solution to the issue is as per their wishes and aspirations".
