Mumbai: Sridevi’s comeback film ‘English Vinglish’, arguably the most hyped film of the year, hasn’t been able to score much as far as the Box Office cash registers are concerned. And the Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat-starrer ‘Kismet Love Paisa Dilli’, this week’s other release hasn’t been able to contribute much to the business, either.
‘English Vinglish’, however, is expected to gain momentum during the weekend, thanks to the decent reviews that it has got and word of mouth. The film, which marks Sridevi’s return to films after a hiatus of 15 years, tells the story of a woman who learns English to impress her family.
‘Kismet Love Paisa Dilli’, on the other hand, has been panned by critics, and isn’t expected to do business that can be termed anything above the average.
‘Barfi!’ and ‘OMG Oh My God!’, the releases of the last two weeks, have still been faring well at the Box Office. While ‘Barfi!’ has transcended the mark of 100 crores, business for ‘OMG’ is somewhere around half that amount!
