Aamir Khan and Imran in Raju Hirani’s ‘Peekay’!

Mumbai: Everyone knows that how mamu jaan Aamir has helped bhanja Imran establish his footing in Bollywood. After a crackling debut in ‘Jaane Tu..Ya Jane Na’, Aamir Khan cast Imran in another of his production ‘Delhi Belly’ which placed Imran among the top rung actors in the industry. Now news has it that Aamir will act with Imran in Raju Hirani’s ‘Peekay’. According to insiders when Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh didn’t show much interest in the role, Aamir suggested his bhanja’s name to the casting directors. An offer was made to Imran which he immediately lapped without wasting a moment. Reportedly, Ranveer and Ranbir walked out of this Raju Hirani project because the role entailed playing second fiddle to Aamir Khan which these actors didn’t want to be associated with. So Aamir asked the casting directors, if Imran would fit the bill and makers thought it was a good idea to cast them together. So finally, ‘Peekay would see mama-bhanja team up for the first time. Meanwhile, Aamir is really kicked about Hirani`s film that exposes the godmen in the country; the script had made the rounds of the industry for younger guy`s role which has eventually gone to Imran.
