Vidya Balan says no to Salman Khan!

Mumbai: Given her extraordinary line of work in the recent past and an incredible talent, Vidya Balan, undoubtedly today, stands at a far more commanding position than most of her contemporaries in Bollywood. Vidya’s growing popularity-buzz seems to have caught the attention of India’s ultimate superstar of the time – Salman Khan. The Dabangg Khan is well aware that Vidya, with her back-to-back hits at the box office, is touted as the “fourth Khan of the industry” and hence, an offer to Vidya is known to have been made from Khan to act with him in a film. Even as the experts believe that the pairing would be an ultimate casting coup, Vidya has apparently turned down the offer, as she is adamant about not playing a glam doll. A source said, “Probably the film in question is Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick but Khan isn’t revealing any details about the film. Vidya feels her role needs to be strong enough to justify her superstar status. It also needs to be at par with her acting prowess.” When probed on the matter, Vidya’s spokesperson denied that talks were on with Khan. But the Salman Khan camp has confirmed that the talk about roping Vidya in a film was nothing but rumours.
