Washington: Hilary Swank has decided to drop a legal battle with bosses of a Californian electronics company after she accused them of using her photos in unauthorised advertisements.
The 37-year-old actress had filed the suit against Robert’s Home Audio and Video in May, claiming that they had illegally used an image of her from her film ‘Million Dollar Baby.’
The ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ star has since filed legal documents in Los Angeles Superior Court, asking a judge to drop the case.
The case was officially dismissed on July 19, TMZ.com reported.
Robert Yates, the lawyer for the home and audio company said that he believed that she scrapped the suit because her case was weak to begin with and it just wasn’t worth the effort.
“It’s a lot of bother for very little potential benefit,” he said.
