Rosie O’Donnell weds girlfriend Michelle Rounds in secret ceremony

New York: US comedian Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she secretly wed her girlfriend Michelle Rounds on June 9.

The new revelation comes just one week after she announced that she had suffered from a heart attack. The couple had moved up their planned wedding after Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a rare disease that only affected three out of every one million people. “We married in private before her surgery just the 2 of us,” the New York Post quoted her as writing on her blog. “When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish. “Thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times. Including all of u stranger-friends connected thru invisible strands of wi fi,” she said. According to People magazine, the couple had announced their engagement in December and had planned their nuptials for August, but Rounds’ diagnosis pushed them to move their wedding date up. This is the second marriage for O’Donnell, who has four kids with former partner Kelli Carpenter. ANI
