New York: Rosie O’Donnell, who is said to be falling-out with Oprah Winfrey, has put the rumours to rest by turning up to support her former boss at a benefit gala.
O’Donnell, whose disastrous talk-show run on OWN reportedly resulted in a stony silence between her and Winfrey, proved the rumours wrong Wednesday night when she showed up at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The 50-year-old comedian even brought along her nine-year-old daughter Vivi to the event, which included performances by the first graduating class of the South African all-girls school that Winfrey founded.
O’Donnell was part of a starry crowd that included Winfrey’s BFF Gayle King, R and B diva Mary J. Blige, hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons, actress Goldie Hawn, model Iman, Sherri Shepherd and hubby Lamar (Sal) Sally.
“Rosie and Oprah are still friends. There aren’t any hard feelings at all,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.
O’Donnell’s spokeswoman Cindi Berger also denied the rumours.
“They have an excellent relationship,” Berger said.
“It was a very special night and a wonderful time,” she added.
