Mumbai: Talking to the media on his 47th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan took a diplomatic stand and refused to comment on the recent controversy that has ensued after Ajay Devgn’s production house sent a legal notice to Yash Raj Films over the release date of their respective films, ‘Son of Sardar’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
Devgn’s production company had accused YRF of using their clout in the industry and influencing distributors to release JTHJ instead of SOS.
While addressing the media at his residence, Mannat, SRK refused to comment on the issue and said, “Thankfully I am not the producer and the legal notice has not been sent to me. I think there are enough screens in the country to show both films. I hope both films do well.”
When asked who the first person was to wish him on his birthday and what his plans were for his special day, King Khan said, “Like always, it was my daughter, Suhana who wished me first on my birthday. I usually have no plans on my birthday. It is a regular day. You guys come over every year and have made it a tradition of sorts. So I arrange for food and drinks for you people. Otherwise there never is any celebration as such. Friends visit every year to wish.”
The superstar also humbly accepted that he has got a lot more in life that he could ever dream of. “Never thought so many people would celebrate my birthday; so, extremely thankful to everyone.”
