Honda Motorcycle, Scooter sales rise 22% to 4,27,384 units in June

New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, reported 22.52 percent increase in total sales at 4,27,384 units in June.

The company reported total sale of 3,48,808 units in the same month last year.In the domestic market, its sales stood at 4,08,141 units in May as against 3,31,797 units in June last year, a growth of 23 percent.

Motorcycle sales rose closely to 27 percent to 1,42,702 units during the month from the year-ago period, added the company statement.

The company`s scooter sales grew 21 percent to 265,439 units in June.Exports rose 13 percent to 19,243 units as against 17,011 units in the same month a year ago, it added.
