New Delhi: After making Katrina Kaif one of Bollywood’s A-listers, Salman Khan is now leaving no stone unturned to help his ex-girlfriend’s sister Isabelle with her debut film.
According to a leading daily, the 47-year-old actor, who is famously known as the Godfather and mentor to not only Katrina but many other Bollywood heroines, is reportedly co-producing the Canadian movie- ‘Dr Cabbie’ - which is said to be Isabelle’s debut movie.
Apart from Isabelle, other actors in this movie are Vinay Virmani – last seen in ‘Speedy Singhs’ in 2011 – and Adrianne Palicki – who was in ‘GI Joe: Retaliation’ earlier this year.
Along with Kaif’s sister, Kunal Nayyar - from American TV series, ‘The Big Bang Theory’- is also said to be making his debut in films with this project.
The movie, which is said to be distributed in India by Eros International, is estimated to be a $25 million project.
“Isabelle went through the audition process like all the other actors. She was cast based on her performance and only because she was a perfect fit for the role,” a spokesperson of Eros said about Isabelle’s casting.
The story of the movie revolves around a young Indian doctor who has newly arrived in Canada and has to work as a taxi driver after being turned down by some local medical schools.
The film, which is being directed by the famous Canadian director Jean-François Pouliot, is currently being shot in Canada.
