Karan Kakkar’s body found – disembodied!

Mumbai: Body parts of aspiring Bollywood producer Karan Kakkar was finally found on Monday evening in Chiplun forest in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Disfigured body of Karan Kakkar, who went missing since Saturday was found stuffed in a gunny bag. The prime accused Vijay Palande himself led the policemen from the Amboli police in Mumbai to the spot where he allegedly dumped Kakkar after murdering him. Himanshu Roy, joint commissioner of police (crime) said, “On March 5, Palande and his three accomplices had killed Kakkar in his flat, and butchered his body in the bathroom. They then wiped the bathroom clean to remove all telltale blood stains, stashed the body parts in the bags and then moved them into the BMW.” Karan Kakkar's brother, however, refuses to accept the fact that the body parts found by police is that of his brother Karan. Talking about the involvement of model Simran Sood, DCP (Zone 9) Pratap Dighavkar said that Palande had “accepted” Sood as his sister and had also changed his name to Karan Sood. “This was, however, done as arrangement so they could get property agreements where they would pose as siblings. We are trying to acquire the six property agreements signed by the duo to look for cases of forgery and other frauds. Some of the agreements were ‘lease and licence’ agreements,” Mr Dighavkar said. The crime branch is also investigating the murder of Alok Kumar Tikku, in which Palande was originally arrested, along with Dhananjay Shinde and Manoj Gajkosh.
