New Delhi: After serving the modelling industry for more than five years, supermodel Tinu Verghis is saying goodbye to the glamour world and says she is "leaving by choice, not by chance".
"This is the end...! My last picture as a runway model. I leave by choice, not by chance. Thank you for all the love and kindness...," Verghis posted on social networking site Facebook.
A supermodel from South, her modelling career started shaping up after winning the much coveted fashion television award for the World`s Best Ramp Model in Monte Carlo in 2003.
Verghis is one of the few Indian models who walked the ramp in Milan and Paris for renowned international fashion houses like Christian Lacroix, Gucci, DKNY, Christian Dior, Prada, Escada, and Alexander McQueen.
On Indian runway, she walked for known names such as Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Neeta Lulla and many others. She was last seen walking the ramp for designer Meera Ali at just concluded Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW).
