New York: Singer-actress Bette Midler says she was offended when she was offered the role of a grandmother in comedy show `Parental Guidance`.
The 67-year-old, known for acting in movie like ‘The Rose’, ‘Down and Out in Beverly Hills’ and ‘For The Boys’, however took up the role because it was young at heart, reported New York Post.
"I was totally offended. I didn`t think grandmother parts would come so soon. I was up for playing a fun grandma. Grandparents are not quite the same as they used to be. People are fighting tooth and nail to stay fit," Midler said.
