New Delhi: The traders of Delhi's posh Khan Market are split in opinion over Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan's online shopping portal khanmarketonline.
Some of the traders association are contemplating a legal course against him while others having a difference on the view point.
As a treat for his fans across the world on his 50th birthday, superstar Salman Khan unveiled an online shopping portal named "Khan Market".
Though it is yet to open for use, the market has begun registrations. Salman announced the market launch on his social networking pages. He tweeted:

Trader association of the 65-year-old market has said that it would first talk to the actor to change the name but if they still don't come at an amicable solution, they would take legal course.
"We are a world-famous market. How can the actor use our market's name for his portal? If he announces discount for merchandise on his portal, customers will turn up here and ask for the same. They are bound to be confused," Association president Sanjiv Mehra told TOI.
However, representatives of a rival group told the Hindustan Times that “the outrage is misplaced” because Khan is a common surname and “no one can stop people from using it in private business ventures”.
Another shopkeeper told the HT, “The issue that has been raised is not the collective belief of all traders.”
With 150 shops and 35 restaurants, Khan Market has often found space in the list of costliest retail locations in the world. It is also one of the most expensive market space in the country.
