L&T Construction wins Rs 1,376 cr contracts
Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro on Wednesday said its construction arm has won contracts worth Rs 1,376 crore in power transmission and distribution business in domestic and international markets during this month.
New Delhi: Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro on Wednesday said its construction arm has won contracts worth Rs 1,376 crore in power transmission and distribution business in domestic and international markets during this month.
"In the domestic market, the Solar Business has bagged multiple orders from a reputed solar power developer for the engineering, procurement and construction of 115 MWp solar installations in the southern part of the country," the company said in a statement.
Upon completion, the total installed capacity of solar plants by the company would be 643 MWp, one of the highest executed by an Indian EPC company, it said.
The Business has also received an order from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd for engineering, procurement and construction of 132 kV double circuit transmission lines in various districts of West Bengal.
"In the international market, the business has made a strategic breakthrough in Malawi, Africa, by bagging an order for the construction of two 400/132kV substations on EPC basis. Another order has been bagged in the Middle East for engineering, procurement and construction of a 220kV substation from a reputed customer," the statement said.
The Power Transmission & Distribution business is a leading EPC player in the field of T&D business offering integrated solutions and end to end services ranging from design, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of transmission lines etc.
