London: Rock band Aerosmith are going to have a "vintage sound" on their 14th studio album, says band`s frontman Steven Tyler.
Tyler said the `Walk This Way` rockers, who are currently working on their first record since 2004`s `Honkin` on a Bobo`, will sound like they are well and truly back in the music industry, reported Contactmusic.
"We`ve been in the studio for the last month. We`re going to have a vintage sound, `cause we`re going to tape and a lot of good things like that. We`re keeping tracks lean, not a lot of overdubs. So you`re going to hear some stuff where you might think Aerosmith`s back," Tyler said.
The 63-year-old also said he is having a good time penning tracks for the band again.
"I`m having such a good time writing again. You got the songs right now where they`re like shells, with no lyrics and no melody, and I get to fill in the blanks like I did with `Back in the Saddle` when it was just a track," Tyler added.
