Missed your flight? Pay only Rs 299 and get another flight within 24 hours

New Delhi: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet has announced 'Fly For Sure' scheme, guaranteeing passengers another flight within 24 hours in case they miss a flight or face flight disruptions.

It entitles a traveller booked on SpiceJet, a guarantee of flying in the next twenty four hours in case of a flight delay beyond (90) minutes, missing a flight (no-show) not exceeding 30 minutes from airport check-in closure of the original flight or a flight cancellation by the airline.

"Flight disruptions cause lots of inconvenience to passengers; hence putting customer convenience first we have introduced 'Fly For Sure' which enables the passenger to complete the travel without any extra financial burden," said SpriceJet vice president Amit Srivastava in a statement.

The 'Fly For Sure' scheme available at an all inclusive price of Rs 299 will reimburse a passenger facing unforeseen circumstances with his original booked flight for an alternate flight ticket of his choice in the same sector within 24 hours of the original scheduled booking.

The scheme is only available in the domestic sector for tickets booked up to seven days in advance.

It may be recalled that Jet Airways recently announced that it would allow its customers to retain a "selected" fare for a limited period before confirming the purchase at a later date.

A customer availing the option, will have to shell out Rs 350 for a domestic ticket and Rs 700 for an international ticket to lock the available fare.
