London: Screenwriter John Logan hopes that his work on the latest Bond film `Skyfall` will help him get his fourth Oscar nomination this year and possibly an award.
Logan has previously been nominated for his work in `Gladiator`, `The Aviator` and most recently `Hugo`, reported a news channel.
On whether he hoped to get recognition Logan said, "Yes. I think we made a proper movie, which was our goal."
Of the 23 previous Bond movies over the last 49 years, only two have collected Academy Awards, both in technical categories.
`Goldfinger` won best sound effects in 1964 and a year later `Thunderball` got best visual effects.
There have been reports that Dame Judi Dench could be nominated for her role as M in the movie.
