New Delhi: State-run NHPC today said that it has paid the government an interim dividend of Rs 875.49 crore for fiscal 2015-16.
"NHPC Ltd... Has paid an interim dividend of Rs 875.49 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2015-16 in the month of March 2016," the company said in a statement today.
The dividend payout bank advice was presented to Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal by NHPC Chairman and Managing Director K M Singh, the statement said.
The company's board in its meeting held on February 10, had declared an interim dividend at the rate of Rs 0.92 per equity share i.E. 9.2 per cent of the face value of share.
NHPC has nine lakh shareholders and total interim dividend of Rs 1,018.50 crore has been paid for the year 2015-16 as against a total dividend of Rs 664.25 crore for the fiscal 2014-15, the statement said.
