Mumbai: Viewers love Superman, Spiderman and Batman, but director Sajid Khan says little-known Supremo, a 1980s comic book character based on megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is his favourite superhero.
"Supremo! Now none of you all would know who Supremo is. No! Shame on you! In 1984, Amitabh Bachchan was the first-ever actor in the world on whom a comic book was made, called Supremo. Supremo could do everything that Superman could do," the 39-year-old said when asked about his favourite superhero.
He spoke here on the sidelines of the premier of Hollywood film `The Avengers`.
"Do you know that no other hero, no other actor in the world has had that honour except Amitabh Bachchan. Four comics were made on Supremo. So I used to love Supremo when I was a kid," he added.
Sajid, whose last release `Housefull 2` received mixed reviews at the box office, is already talking about his upcoming projects.
"I am making `Himmatwala` with Vashu Bhagnani and UTV and that is going to be a bigger hit than `Housefull 2`," said Sajid.
`Himmatwala` will be a remake of the 1983 film of the same name. The original featured Sridevi and Jeetendra and in the remake, Ajay Devgn will reprise Jeetendra`s role.
