New Delhi, Oct 17: As part of its "operation 2003" to capture power in four states, top BJP leaders today discussed the party's electoral strategy with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence here. "The meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and party President M Venkaiah Naidu reviewed the party's electoral preparations and the criteria for selection of candidates," party sources said. The leaders reviewed the prevailing political situation in these states with Naidu briefing them on the feedback received from the state units during his meeting with the state leadership, the sources said. Going it alone in four states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Delhi, the leaders felt that the party should step up its poll campaign and ensure there is proper selection of candidates, the sources said.
