Shocking! Ola slaps Hyderabad passenger with Rs 9 lakh bill

Hyderabad: Ratish Sekhar must not have thought even in the wildest of his dreams that he will ever be slapped with a bill as huge as Rs 9,15,887 by taxi-hailing service Ola for a 450 km round trip. Unfortunately, it turned true for him.

As per a story in Deccan Chronicle, Sekhar who works as a private consultant working on government projects, booked an Ola cab for a same-day trip to Nizamabad from Hyderabad on August 24.

His trip began at 7:57 in the morning and ended at 5:16 in evening. The round trip included a distance of 450 km.

The trip estimate that Sekhar was given on the phone came about Rs 5,000 but it turned to be Rs 9.15 lakh later for shocking 85,427 km of distance travelled.

However, when the Ola staff was apprised about the confusion they apologized for the technical error and promised to look into the issue.
