London: Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline has said that he is “really happy” that the singer is engaged to Jason Trawick.
Federline, 33, made the touching statement during a break from filming Nine Network reality program ‘Excess Baggage’ in Sydney.
“I’m really happy for her - I think he’s a great guy,” the Daily Mail quoted the pop queen’s former husband as telling Australia’s TV WEEK magazine.
“She’s happy; she’s doing really well.
“I want to say she’s in a good place.
“I haven’t spoken to her much since I’ve been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids’ teachers that they’re doing really good.
“It’s a good step in the right direction. I’m totally happy for her,” he said.
Federline and Speras have two sons, Sean and Jayden from their two-year marriage that ended in 2006.
He had nothing but praise for 40-year-old Trawick’s abilities as a step-father.
“He’s a really good guy, I’ve heard a lot about him.
“I’ve spoken to him quite a few times as of now.
“He seems like a really good guy.
“The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him,” he added.
