New Delhi: Budget carrier SpiceJet on Monday announced launching of two direct flights to Dubai -- one each from Amritsar and Kozhikode -- from next month and offered an all-inclusive introductory one-way fare of Rs 4,999.
Dubai is one of the airline's six international destinations besides Bangkok, Colombo, Kabul, Male and Muscat.
At present, the Gurgaon-based airline operates its flight services to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Madurai and Kochi.
While SpiceJet will operate daily flights on the Kozhikode-Dubai route, flights on the Amritsar-Dubai route will operate six days a week, the airline said in a release, adding that the flights from these two cities are scheduled to take off from November 15.
With the launch of these flights, SpiceJet will be serving Dubai direct from eight Indian cities -- Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kochi, Madurai, Amritsar and Kozhikode, with connections from dozens of more cities including Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, the release said.
SpiceJet also said services to Kathmandu, which had been temporarily suspended, would resume. The airline, however, did not give any timeline.
