Mumbai: Filmmaker Kiran Rao says she is keen to open an art-house cinema where film lovers can enjoy off-beat movies.
“It’s a dream of mine. I have always wanted to have a cultural centre where people can have a community of artists. Basically, I have always wanted an art-house cinema, where we can
show films that are not necessarily the current offerings on circuit or commercial,” she says.
Currently away from work, Kiran confirms she’ll start working on a script soon. She became a mother to son Azaad in December last year, and insists she is not a perfect mother yet.
“But I certainly try. Every mother does what is best for her child because it’s a joy and a daily learning experience,” the 38-year-old says.
