Washington: Justin Bieber recently donated 100,000 dollars to the low-income Whitney Elementary school, in Las Vegas.
The 17-year-old singer not only treated the underprivileged kids to a private concert but also donated a cheque of 100,000 dollars, which he had pledged to give two months ago.
The money will be used to support the institute so the children can stay at the elementary.
The school, which has one of the highest number of homeless children in Nevada, also pays family bills and provides children with clothes and a free or heavily discounted lunch, Contactmusic reported.
Bieber admitted that it was all close to home as his own family had had their financial struggles and were once forced to visit a food bank.
The ‘Baby’ hitmaker soon performed a private concert, singing acoustic versions of Christmas songs, with the whole event being filmed for ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’.
