New Delhi: Domestic airline companies are leaving no stone unturned to keep the customers delighted.
One such scheme is to attract the customer to book tickets through the websites of such companies directly so that travel agents can be kept at bay, reports the Economic Times.
While the offers keep the customers happy, direct ticket selling helps the airline companies to save a lot on commission charges that have to be paid to the agents, ET said.
The ET reported that Jet Airways has brought in a scheme to provide cab services to its passengers. The company is in talks with app based taxi service Uber.
Similarly, budget airlines Spicejet has also joined the fray to provide taxi services to the flyers for which the company is in talks with Mytaxiindia.com. Furthermore, Spicejet is also offering special discounts for students and senior citizens on its website.
Meanwhile new entrant Vistara is in talks with Taj hotels resorts and palaces to offer accomodation to its flyers, the ET further said.
