Los Angeles: Singing legend Bette Midler is all set to appear in `Glee` after co-creator Ryan Murphy asked her to do it live on stage.
The 66-year-old `Wind Beneath My Wings` singer has agreed to film a cameo for the musical TV drama, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Murphy asked Midler while she was on stage for the God`s Love We Deliver Golden Hearts Awards event in New York City.

Murphy couldn`t contain his excitement and also took to twitter to speak of his joy.
"Bette said yes! Amazing. I am plotting...Who should she play?" Murphy tweeted.
Midler is not the only star to sign up for the show as `American Idol` runner-up Jessica Sanchez will also have a recurring role.
However, character details and a start date are yet to be revealed.
Stars to have appeared in `Glee` include Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker.
