New York: Mel Gibson’s step-mother Teddy Joye Hicks, who married the actor’s father Hutton in 2001, filed papers for a restraining order against the 56-year-old star on Monday.
According to a website, Hicks’ primary complaint is that both Gibson and his sister Maura hate her for refusing to approve controversial “Ozone” medical treatments for their father, who suffers from various ailments.
In the documents, Hicks claimed that Gibson has verbally assaulted her multiple times over the years, and cited specific episodes of the ‘Mad Max’ star’s outbursts.
Last October, for instance, Gibson allegedly told Hicks “not to f--k with (Hutton’s) treatments in any way,” and just this past January, he was so upset after Hicks declined his cooking (due to a stomach ache) that he flew into a rage.
“Mel looked at me in disgust and said that I was insulting him by not eating,” a leading daily has quoted her as writing in the documents.
“He then threatened that if I did not eat he would have me put outside,” she wrote.
The 78-year-old woman even admitting to getting so scared of Gibson, that she vomited out of fear during one verbal barrage. To top it all off, Hicks claimed Gibson is trying to kick her out of the house, which is owned by one of his charities, rendering her homeless.
Based on these accusations, a California judge decided Monday that the case will go to a full hearing next month.
