Mumbai: Composer Mithoon, who is currently enjoying the success of his song `Tum Hi Ho` from `Aashiqui `, says Mahesh Bhatt not only connects with younger generation, but gives them creative freedom.
"Being a producer, he has never pushed me. I have given my best to him because he has given me that space and time. He has never interfered in my work. He never forced me with any song or a singer," Mithoon told reporters here.
"He always says, `You are the captain of the ship and you can take it forward wherever you want to.`," he added.
The 28-year-old, who had teamed up with Bhatt`s Vishesh Films for films like `Murder 2` and `Jism 2` and churned out songs like `Phir mohobbat` and `Maula`, doesn`t feel any generation gap when he interacts with the 64-year-old filmmaker.
"Mahesh Bhatt is someone who connects with the youth and this is a novel quality in itself. He doesn`t belong to this generation, he is our senior, but when he sits across and discusses, then it seems we are talking to someone of our age," said the composer.
