Pune/New Delhi: Stating that India needs to repeat economic performance in the future as well, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan on Wednesday said that the current growth rate reflects the hard work of the government.


 


Speaking at the convocation of National Institute of Bank Management in Pune, Rajan said that RBI has offered all help to Bank bureau in reforms.


"Can't get carried away with India's current superior growth. India has a long way to go to boost per capita income," Rajan added.


 


Rajan was yesterday rebutted by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for his remarks that India is 'one-eyed king in the land of blind' saying compared to the rest of the world, the Indian economy was growing much faster and, in fact, the fastest.


With India being often described as 'the bright spot in the global economy', he had recently said in an interview that this was a case of "the one-eyed man being king in the land of the blind.
