Washington: Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi known for her carefree, club-hopping ways has revealed that pregnancy has changed her. The ‘Jersey Shore’ star – who recently confirmed that she and fiance Jionni LaValle are expecting their first child – says that having a baby on the way has made her more mature.
“I guess [pregnancy] just made me more mature,” a magazine has quoted her as saying while promoting her new MTV show ‘Snooki ‘n’ Jwoww’ Thursday in New York City.
Joined by Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Jersey Shore cast mate DJ Pauly D, the reality star explained just how much her behaviour has been altered.
“It’s different because now I’m not drinking,” Polizzi said.
“I’m usually partying and going to clubs but pregnancy made me grow up a lot,” she admitted.
“[Nicole] really came into her own being pregnant. Looking at your best friend and seeing that you feel proud,” said Farley, 26, her best friend.
Premiering June 21 on MTV, Snooki & JWoww follows the 24-year-old during her first trimester – during which she barely suffered from morning sickness.
“I hardly threw up,” she said.
“I was just very tired and cranky,” she revealed.
But she’s done with her signature “Whaaa” whine.
“My baby will take over that sound,” she says. “I can’t wait!” she said.
Polizzi said her beloved pickles are a thing of the past, as well. The petite star’s newest cravings are “a lot of fruits and Italian icies … no pickles.”
Lastly, she’s given up the glow. Known for her signature bronze complexion, Polizzi admits, “I haven’t tanned since August.”
