Coldplay, Rihanna to perform at next year`s BRIT awards

London: Coldplay and Rihanna will perform their duet `Princess of China` live together for the first time at the BRIT Awards 2012.

The duo will perform the track from the band`s recent `Mylo Xyloto` album at the annual British awards show, reported The Sun. "Coldplay are really looking forward to performing `Princess of China` with Rihanna already. Brits bosses set their sights on getting them on stage together early doors. They are two of the biggest acts around right now," a source said. Coldplay singer Chris Martin has previously said how he had to pluck up the courage to ask the `Umbrella` singer to star on the song with them. "We did a show in Las Vegas and I met her and said, `Do you think there`s any chance?` I was very Hugh Grant-like and spluttering about it. It took a while to pluck up the courage to ask her. She has such an amazing voice and it`s so different to mine." PTI
