Ghaziabad: A proposal to extend the Metro rail connectivity from Vaishali station upto Mohan Nagar was approved at the board meeting of Ghaziabad Development Authority.
The proposal has been sent to state government for its sanction after which a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared, said Vice Chairman of the Authority Vijay Yadav.
The Mohan Nagar metro station will be the biggest change- over junction from where commuters coming from Dilshad Garden, Anand Vihar, Noida and Ghaziabad can interchange the metro trains for their onward routes, Yadav added.
Yadav said another proposal to connect Noida Sector 62 metro to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) campus has already been passed and work will start on the 1.5 kilometer stretch. Rs 250 crore has been allocated for the project.
In the next phase, this line will cross over village Kanavni culvert and extended upto Vasundhara traffic signal from where commuters from Vaishali, Noida,?Ghaziabad and Dilshad Garden can board their respective routes, Yadav added.
