London: Kelly Brook, who has already made her name as a model, actress and presenter, is now embarking on a new career as a playwright.
The 32-year-old actress is writing a script on variety shows in which she herself will also be starring.
This week at the Magnum London launch at Westfield Stratford City Brook told guests about her theatre project, while revealing that she’d had dinner with variety veterans ‘The Krankies’ as part of her research.
“Kelly is writing and appearing in a play hitting the London Palladium next year,” a leading daily has quoted a source as saying.
“It’s based on the big variety shows. She’s clearly putting plenty of work in behind the scenes before it’s seen by the public.
“This includes learning juggling and magic tricks. She has also met up with The Krankies, who clearly know plenty about the world of variety. It’s a big career move on her part but variety is obviously a passion of hers,” the source added.
Brook, who is dating former rugby player Thom Evans, also admitted that she wouldn’t mind a career change.
“Working with children would be my dream job-swap,” she told a magazine.
“My job is so self-involved that it would be nice to have a career where I got a lot of job satisfaction out of making peoples’ lives better,” she said.
