San Juan: Puerto Rico`s Calle 13 roped in Oscar-winning Argentine director Juan Jose Campanella for their latest music video, `La vuelta al mundo`.
Lead singer Rene `Residente` Perez told EFE Monday that the video takes place in an office where all the employees are engrossed in their routine except for a couple who decides to break out of their rut and meet up at a fantasy world.
The video, filmed last week in the area of Villa Urquiza in Buenos Aires, features actors Soledad Fandino and Juan Minujin.
Perez emphasized the direction of Campanella, whom he got to know because of his work in films like "El secreto de tus ojos" (2009) and "El hijo de la novia" (2001).
"The best director I could find and the best there is for telling a story where the performances say something more than what a rapper could say," Perez explained.
The song "La vuelta al mundo", written by Residente, was inspired by the film "Into the Wild", directed by Sean Penn.
The song forms part of Calle 13`s most recent album, "Entren los que quieran", for which the duo won nine Latin Grammys.
