New Delhi: The 57the Filmfare Awards which will be held on January 29 next year will pay tribute to the evergreen star of Bollywood Dev Anand, who passed away on December 4.
"Dev Anand and many stalwarts passed away this year. We are definitely planning to pay a special tribute to all these stars. Nothing has been finalised yet but we are working on the entire programme," said Tarun Rai, Chief Executive Officer, Worldwide Media.
Rai also announced that the Filmfare Award`s 2011 will be special as it will give out the 2500th `Black Lady` to a very special person.
"The Filmfare awards 2011 will be very special for us as we will be giving out the 2500th trophy at the event. The special `Black Lady` will be given to a very special person.
It is a testament of Filmfare`s long association with Indian cinema and its commitment to recognise and celebrate the immense talent of the film industry," Rai said at a press meet in the capital.
Bollywood`s heartthrob Imran Khan, who was also present at the event, tipped Vidya Balan starrer `The Dirty Picture` to take the cake at this year`s event.
"My friends thoroughly enjoyed the film and if the buzz is to be believed then Vidya Balan and `The Dirty Picture` will be the big winners at this year`s event," Imran said.
