New York: A man from Minnesota made an unexpected find when he discovered a rare copy of Action Comics #1 - first Superman comic book - inside a wall of the home that he was renovating.
Last January, David Gonzalez, 35, of Hoffman, was tearing insulation in the garage of a 10,100 dollar fixer-upper when he noticed old newspapers and comic book pages lining the wall, the New York Daily News reported.
Later, he tracked down a collectables trader in Tampa Bay, Florida, and drove there to have comic book appraised.
His grab of the "priceless" comic book from his wife`s aunt`s hands ended up downgrading the value of the book from 3.0 to 1.5 on a 10-point scale, but it has already drawn high bids of 113,111 dollars on auction site comiccollect.com. The auction runs up till June 11.
