Washington: Legendary Hollywood actor Kirk Douglas is getting in on the e-book craze, as he is set to come out with a digital version of his memoir in June.
Titled ‘I Am Spartacus! Making a Film, Breaking the Blacklist,’ the book tells about the Roman epic that came out in 1960 and helped break Hollywood’s ban against suspected Communists, a news channel has reported.
Douglas, 95, who starred in the ‘Spartacus’ movie and helped produce it, reveals that Dalton Trumbo wrote the screenplay after the blacklisted Trumbo had worked throughout the 1950s under assumed names.
The book includes a foreword by George Clooney. It is being released by Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher that announced the deal Monday. An audio edition will be narrated by Douglas’ actor-son Michael Douglas.
