Oprah Winfrey buys father`s barber shop

Los Angeles: TV mogul Oprah Winfrey owns a mansion in Montecito, a lavish apartment in Chicago, a huge ranch in Hawaii -- and now a barber shop in Nashville.

Winfrey has purchased her father Vernon`s barbershop out of foreclosure, and his wife -- the talk show queen`s stepmother -- is furious, reported Radar Online. "I know what is going on. I`m tired of it, and I`ve had enough," Barbara Winfrey said. Vernon has run a barbershop for 50 years and is considered a fixture in his community. A year ago, he and Barbara bought a new building, renovated it and moved the business into it. But things apparently didn`t go smooth, and they owed the bank USD 481,000 and it was only worth USD 350,000 before the bank auctioned it off. PTI
