New Delhi: Greivance mails from several quarters seem to have inundated PMO's mail services, but listening to them and acting upon them has lead to improvement in implementation of several govt schemes, as per a newspaper report.

A report in the Times of India said, “Of 98 organisations in the central sector, 33 have a disposal rate of more than 90 percent, 25 are in the 80-90 percent range, 20 in the 70-80 percent category and eight in the 50-70 percent range. A handful of departments are below the 50 percent threshold, accounting for 1.6 percent of total grievances.”

These grievance addressals have led to betterment in various government schemes like the PM Jan Dhan Yojna, improvements in EPFO, fast-tracking of the postal deliveries and  railways' refund system to name a few, the TOI report said.
