Washington: Octavia Spencer and Christopher Plummer have been honoured with the First Critic’s Choice Awards.
‘The Help’ star Spencer received the Best Supporting Actress honour in Los Angeles on Thursday, Contactmusic reported.
She beat her co-star Jessica Chastain, Shailene Woodley, Carey Mulligan, Berenice Bejo and Melissa MCCarthy.
Oscars favourite Plummer was also an early winner; he was named the Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Beginners’.
“Being honoured by a critic is like being on a three-week binge with the enemy... but I’m cool about it,” Plummer joked while accepting his trophy.
