New Delhi: Noida Metro Rail Corp (NMRC) on Friday said it has completed first phase of construction in record time on Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor and structural work of all 21 metro stations is expected to be completed by March 2017.
"Casting of concourse level slab has been done in a record time of 8 months which normally takes more than a year... The construction of Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor consisting of 30 km of viaduct & 21 Stations is in full swing," it said in a statement.
In line with this, the casting of concourse level slab at Sector-143 station has been started today, it said adding about 600 cubic meter RMC will be poured continuously for 24 hours.
According to Noida Authority's Deputy CEO Saumya Srivastava who holds additional charge as Executive Director of NMRC, "The structural work of this station is expected to be over by August 16."
The casting of concourse level slab of Sector-71, Delta & Sector-149 will also take place within a week's time, he said.
The casting of concourse level slab has been done in a record time of 8 months which normally takes more than a year in a Design & Built construction, he added.
"The structural work of all the 21 metro stations is expected to be completed by March 2017," he added.
The work of viaduct is also moving on a fast track and the viaduct of 30 KMs and 21 stations is expected to be completed by May 2017, the statement said.
