Critics rip Steven Tyler’s botched up national anthem

Washington: Steven Tyler messed up his performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

Wearing a sequined scarf in honour of the New England Patriots, the 63-year-old Aerosmith frontman performed a screechy rendition of the national anthem. Even though the crowds at the game cheered him on, critics were not so kind. “Steven Tyler far more obscene than Janet Jackson’s t*tty,” Fox columnist Jason Whitlock tweeted. While some fans loved Tyler’s trademark scream, The Bleacher Report suggested that the ‘American Idol’ judge wouldn’t win a ticket to Hollywood on his own show. ANI
