London: Katy Perry is certain that her life is like a “very modern fairy tale” but insists that she can achieve happiness without finding her “Prince Charming”.
The `I Kissed a Girl` hitmaker was left heartbroken last year when her short-lived marriage to comedian Russell Brand collapsed, and they split in December after just 14 months as man and wife.
She has since been linked to Florence and the Machine rocker Robert Ackroyd, but Perry is adamant she doesn’t need a man to make her life complete.
“I’ve learnt I’m in a very modern fairy tale. But I also know I don’t need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending. I can make the happy ending myself... But I still like London boys... except one,” a leading daily has quoted her as saying.
Perry is also keen to start a family in the future, although she admits she still has some growing up to do herself before she becomes a mum.
“I want to be a mother but now’s not the right time. A baby can’t have a baby, and I’m still a baby,” she added.
