Pics: This is how Hamsafar Express is set to make overnight journey more comfortable

New Delhi: Hamsafar Express, the new fully AC 3 tier train with optional catering is slated to go on tracks in October.

The train will have the 20 coaches and 2 generator cars at each end. The body of each coach is made of stainless steel. The coaches are expected to be broader giving a comfortable feel for overnight journeys.

The first Hamsafar Express is expected to run between Anand Vihar in Delhi to Patna.

The coaches of the train are expected to have amenities like CCTV, GPS based passenger information, Braille displays, fire and smoke detectors and mobile/laptop charging points for each berth, bio-toilets, sensorized taps and hand driers
